The 4-day Metal Gear Survive is scheduled to take place from Thursday, January 18, until Sunday, January 21. Although, computer players will not be able to participate in the action as it is only available to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players.
In beta, you can play three quests, with multiple players in the game's online co-op mode on two different maps. You will also be able to secure your own special items in the full game, when it's released in February, just by joining.
On your save will not bring the full game, sad but sad PS4 players can take some solace in the fact that they do not need to register PlayStation Plus to join. The Xbox One owners are unlucky because you need a piece of Xbox Live Gold to play on Microsoft hardware.
So if you are in Japan, North America, Europe or Asia, you will be able to jump in for two weeks and see what Metal Gear is like as it launches to kick off the post-Hideo Kojima era.
