Microsoft's E3 2017 press conference is currently underway, and the company just revealed the first gameplay for State of Decay 2, the follow-up to 2013's open-world zombie survival game. We saw a lengthy demo that showed off some of the sequel's world, its action, and its zombies.
In addition, Microsoft announced the game's release date, which is currently set for Spring 2018 for Xbox One and Windows 10. The game was originally announced last year at E3 2016, although Microsoft had been tight-lipped until now, we got a glimpse of the expanded gameplay and increased focused on co-op play with others online. In addition to that, we got to see the new zombie types, weapons, and vehicles that players will be able to see online.
Keep an eye on our liveblog of the Microsoft conference and our E3 2017 hub for more news and impressions about State of Decay 2 and many other games. The big news so far are the details of Scorpio, which we now know is called Xbox One X. There was no word on Xbox One X enhancements for State of Decay 2.
